Why? Quite simply: because the perfect ski should adapt to its rider – not the other way around. After all, every person is unique. Build, ability and riding style are the decisive factors in making a ski. And these are exactly the parameters we take into account in every one of our handcrafted models.
 

 
You get to choose the design of the wood surface yourself afterwards, by the way – because while we can analyse your style, we can't analyse your taste.
 

 
How do you get your custom ski?
 

 
Step 1: Getting to know you.
 
It all starts with a personal conversation, in which we clarify the basics, note your measurements (weight, height, boot sole length) and arrange a date for the on-mountain analysis.
 

 
Step 2: The on-mountain analysis.
 
During the on-mountain analysis, we explore the soul of your future ski. Unlike a piece of clothing, a custom ski has to be tailored not just to your body, but to your individual riding style. Our ski technician – a former racer and trained ski coach – studies this over a shared half-day on the slopes.
 

 
Step 3: The detail analysis.
 
While our technician tests your riding behaviour using different ski models and under changing conditions, he's supported by state-of-the-art technology: CARV – a specially developed insole for your ski boot – measures in real time, using 48 pressure sensors, how you distribute your weight, how much edge pressure you apply, and how your skis are positioned relative to each other.
 

 
Step 4: The making.
 
After this unforgettable test day, we retreat to our manufactory to handcraft your ski. From here, it takes around 4 to 8 weeks until you're standing on the piste with your made-to-measure pair of Ünique Skis, ready to experience skiing like never before.
